The click is your solenoid working. It's most likely the starter. A starter/alternator shop should check it for free. Had the same problem and it wasn't worth repairing. I went with a new lifetime warranty for 114us which was 19us more than a rebuild. The repair shop that looked at mine which was oil soaked said it would work intermittently with the problems it had. Try banging on the starter with a hammber or crow bar and see if it starts.
