There is a rod that connects the wastegate contoller to the lever on the wastegate. This is located just under the turbo. You can put the car on ramps
and look at this. If this rod becomes disconnected the wastegate would be open
all the time and the turbo won't make any boost. This stuff looks like a small
gold or silver can with a rubber line going to it. A rod comes out and
goes to the lever on the wastegate at the back of the turbo. This is underneath.
You can see the wastegate controller can from above but not the rest. You just
stretch the rod and put it back on the lever and use a washer and a cotter pin
to keep it on. There may also be a slot on the lever's post and you can use a 'C' clip to keep it together, also. Hope this helps. Boost is great.
