To turbo or not?

A turbo may be the choice for you. It's best to be a dedicated DIY owner. I have been driving one for about 7.5 years and I love it. I've refurbished several for friends and family and they did cost a bit more to do. The boost is worth the effort in my opinion. By the way. The power figures are 127hp for a non intercooled car and 157hp for an intercooled car. The factory intercooled cars
built from 84.5 through 85 are rated at 162hp. These are the fastest and best
running of the turbo cars. I have two and my factory intercooled car is powerful,
fun, and gets decent mileage. They are definitely an enthusiasts car. You can
make a normally aspirated 240 run pretty strong with an exhaust, and a cam but
to really make a lot of hp you would have to spend more money than just buying
a turbo model. Happy rolling!
