Thanks for the advice. And I will get my brick out of this place as soon as I can get it started. I've extended my trip by several days now and I need to get back to my home town where I know of a few reputable mechanics. I do have one other question. Does anyone know if the no start - no tail light problem is necessarily due to a bad neutral safety switch, or could it be caused by some misadjustment in the linkage?
