Right you are Kenric, I sometimes use propane. On the subject 86 I think it might help if the idle was not compensated by the ECU while looking for the leak. I don't have an LH2.2 car, but I believe the IAC can be disabled by grounding the test point as it is done on the earlier LH2.0 systems.
