Ah hah! Someone that is using the Mallory dual point distributor. Mind if I ask a couple questions?

What is the advantage? Does the dist shaft have 2 lobes instead of 4? I imagine the aim is for each point to open half as often, but I don't see how this is accomplished unless they are on differnet planes with their own shaft lobes. I've never seen one, so I'm sure there is an elegant solution I'm missing.
