LPG or Propane? 140-160

I am no expert at running an engine on propane but I have heard that you can run really high compression ratios and really high boost because it has an octane rating over 100, I think like 110 or 120 or something crazy. Not sure if it will be much more economical than gas because I think you have to use more propane. So you could have a gain in performance and really low emissions.
