I've been using a Crane XR700 for about 2 years on my PV544. It works great - set the timing once and it stays that way, hasn't been flaky or not worked one single time. Before with the points I could see the timing jumping around considerably with a timing light - not it is steady as a rock. Definately a very nice improvement.
