Back To Work On My Toy 120-130 1963

Well im back to work on my toy after the holidays, and i had just then finished up replacing most of the front end so it would steer decent and i could feel safe with new parts under there when i go hot rodding down the street. So my problem still lies in the Charge light, this all started after a normall tune up, cant get the light to come on and cant find anyone local to me with a brain that can test a generator ( Amazing for the fact i live in the Los Angeles Area ), I have heard alot of people switching to Alternators but id like to keep this engine as close to original as possible, i already have a 89 745 that i am tweaking to hell which i have managed to clean up to make it look like it rolled off the showroom floor and this is including the engine everything looks original though, anyways whats more typical other then the fuse which looks good to go out, the VR or the Gen? And whats the deal i keep hearing about the Fuse Boxes? mine appears to be okay by looks.
Thanks
