Squealing brakes question.

Apply silicone anti-squeal brake grease to the back side of the pads and shims. They shouldn't be installed dry. You didn't mention using this, so I assume that you didn't use any. It helps. Also, I've seen good results from beveling the leading edge of the pad at about a 45° angle. Some pads come with this bevel already cut into them. This may help your situation. Use a file or a bench grinder.
