Sounds like total bs. The tech doesn't want to look for the problem and the dealer wants to sell a volvo batt. There is something causing the drain. Sorry that I can't help any further. I've had batteries sitting on metal and plastic w/o that problem. He could install a screw type disconnect if he only drives it every few days. That should patch the problem until later. Also, I would think that autozone wouldn't take back a good battery - able to take a charge. There is a difference from discharged and dead from bad cells.
