Battery problem 700 1987

WOW!!! thats the best one ive heard yet, a metal tray!! :) Autozone batteries are rated as one of the better batteries you can buy, espically for the price, just pick one up, they are really heavy! (consumer reports had rated them with diehard a few years back) anywho...You should check for negative draw as bl said....30 millamps is accepatable, some cars now have up to 50-60 millamps draw for all the adaptive memory in all the computers, and some older BMW's can have up to 50...but this volvo should be well under 30 with no aftermarket items installed, any more can drain a battery pretty quick if not driven everyday, espically if the draw is high. It really easy to check and only takes about 1/2 hour for the amature mechanic. Just make sure all doors and lights are off, just as if the car was parked overnight. Does this car have an aftermarket alarm?? or stereo, or amplifier? if so, these can also kill a bettery in 2 days easily. I have seen it more than a few times. If it has an alarm, activate it when checking for draw.
