Did I kill my hall sensor 200 1986

Ahh, bad news my friend. Sounds like you'll need a distributor. That shouldn't be too hard to find. Any 1985-1988 240 will yield one. I've seen tons of them scrapped. Not a high-failure-rate part. The tough thing for you will be getting one OUT. The dist on these cars tends to get stuck. I'd suggest bringing a couple of different pry bars, plenty of PB Blaster, and maybe a strap wrench or oil filter wrench small enough to wrap around the dist to help get it loose. Only one bolt holds it in. They just tend to rust into the block. Makes it hard to adjust timing sometimes. If you're lucky you'll find a nice oily junkyard engine and get the thing out without any trouble.
As you've noticed, that connector is a bit fragile! Handle the new one carefully.
