A can of carb cleaner works wonders for the distributor once you can move it a bit.

The distributors get glued in by all that varnish -- and the xylene or toluene or glowinthedark stuff in carb cleaner cuts it better than PB. And the stupid O-rings REALLY get glued in the varnish.
