I have an 88 Turbo and my car also used to stall once and then restart and run fine - no stalling. Now - things are a bit worse - it wont idle when started if the temperature outside if around 32 degrees. If it is a lot colder it will idle fine. Also, new is a cut out for about a second under wide open throttle at high speed (70-80) and 3 stalls at low speed while cornering with my foot off the gas.

Sounds a lot like your troubles. I was going to start with cleaning the throttle body and go from there. Let me know how you make out with your problem if you get it isolated.
