No start 700 1990

I had a similiar experience. I would park and get back in later only to find that the car would not start. It turns out that I have a problem with my gear linkage or shift linkage. When it would not start I put the car in neutral and it started. Sometimes I would just shake the gear stick and it would start. I do drive an automatic. I still have that problem today....I guess I could get it fixed, but it works for me...hope this helps.
