Most starting problems with 1800 injected cars (when hot) boil down to leaky injectors.
If the injectors are removed always change the rings, if the problem remains the problem lies within the injectors.
Always change them by pairs, if you can afford it change the lot.

Starting problems when cold is a different matter.
