stalling 200 1985

I have a stalling problem with an '85 240 turbo wagon (silver, if it matters). The engine will start after two or three cranks, idle quite smoothly, and run and accelerate well around town. After five or ten minutes, if I clutch to a stop, the engine stalls and I can't get it started again unless I let it sit for another five or ten minutes. It acts either like it has flooded or like an element of some sort must cool down. Any ideas? (injector system was flushed last autumn)
