I'm guessing with out checking my manuals but...
I believe it is possible the low fluid on the transmission caused everything. I know the transmission ECU can set the MIL lamp for various faults.
If everything has been restored to normal, the lamp should turn itself off after about 3 "Trips" (A trip starts with a cold engine and then has to travel some number of miles and reach temperature before being shut down and allowed to cool.)
If everything seems to be running OK I'd just wait for a couple days.
Alternatively, If you have a laptop or PDA there are several adapters that can be purschased that use software to retrieve the fault codes and reset the MIL lamp. They range from about $100 to $250.
I've read that AutoZone or PepBoys will sometimes do the scanning/reset for you. I've never investigated that though.
Keep us posted.
