HELP.....i'm in trouble!!!!! S90-V90 1998

The symptoms that you describe are characteristic of problems with the pnp switch. The question is whether it is a result of driving with low fluid or the switch went bad coincidently. See the 700/900 FAQs under Features for more information about this.

Unfortunately you have to have an OBD II code reader to reset the check engine light. There was some speculation that some of the parts stores that advertise that they read codes for free might reset the switch for free after reading your codes (AutoZone or Advance Auto, for instance).

Note that if the fault remains and your selector lights remain flashing that your transmission is "locked" in third gear. I would drive the car as little as possible until you get the problem resolved.
