Art,

Yes, you understand the problem. It isn't my tool (I rented it) so I won't do any mods to it but I could buy another coupling and have a machine shop remove some of the threads. Hopefully I won't have to push the bushing more than an inch or so and I can wiggle it out. I'll try to find the manufacturers name or maybe IPD can tell me.
