Acceleration Problem - Intermittent 200 1987

Couple of ideas that are cheap and worth the thought ( Start with the cheap ones first):

25 amp fuse holder by your power steering pump resv.
These get hot and connections are bad, get yourself an in-line weather proof one from West Marine, $3. The reason they go bad over time is hot/cold exposure, plus being next to the battery.

Hall sensor,

weak fuel pumps- do an amp draw on your main pump if it's over 6.5, you need a new one. Fuel starvation usually is followed by bucking. If your car is going over 150K on original fuel pumps (in-tank and main), you should probably think about changing both of them. New main pump is about $120 and transfer is about $30, also change the fuel hose between sender unit and transfer pump. New fuel filter while you are at it.

Fuel system relay (only $20) - resolder the unit if money is tight.

Then they are the common items such as plug wires, caps and rotors...
