Sounds odd to me too. 140-160

Hi |142|

I know of the bellhousing you are talking about it is rare. Of what I know that the M47 bolts up to the same place on the bellhousing as the M45/M46 as for the clutch if the spline on the input sharft of M47 is the same as the spline on the input sharft of the M45/M46 use the same type of clutch as the M45/M46 "If" you have a 73/74 8 bolt flywheel. If you have 69/72 6 bolt flywheel I don't what type of clutch you could use maybe a custom clutch plate with a 6 bolt pressure plate. A m46 fit in 140 trans tunnel so the M47 should fit I hope this info helps

PS the M47 has different shifter lengths between the 240 and the 700 series the 740 shifter is longer by around 3.5/4 inchs

George
