The warrantee says, "If this wrench when used for its intended purposes, fails to give you complete satisfaction, we will at our discretion, send to you a free replacement of the same or similar item."
One piece of literature also says they are not intended for use on frozen fasteners. I have used the non-flex head ones for several years and had no trouble with them. I would expect them to warrantee a wrench with a ratchet problem, but not one that looked like it had been abused.
Craftsman has the best warrantee. If the tool is broken, they replace it. Snap-On has the finest tools for my money, but I have had warrantee problems with Snap-On. On two separate occasions I have had the Snap-On dealer decline to warrantee a tool because I was not a regular customer. I have also had the Snap-On dealer decline to warrantee screwdrivers because he could see marks on the plastic handles, and said the marking indicated excess force on the screwdriver. I polished the marks out and was able to get another Snap-On dealer to warrantee them.
