Generic answer 200 1985

Use ATF. Won't rust things, or damage rubber. Just a few drops smeared around on the surfaces that get squeezed into position.

I've used that stuff for many such jobs. Like getting the flame trap holder cup back on the oil breather box nipple, and getting new mounting bushings into the PS mounts or the alternator mounts.
