K & N Filter Questions 140-160 1969

I am going to do the same on my 122S once I do up my B20E engine to 2130cc. I will use the stub stacks in an air box from a P1800S and run a pipe from this box . My intention is to have a stainless steel pipe made up which will go through the frame to which the radiator is attached to and allow me to attach the pipe from the box on the engine side and a K&N filter on the grill side - the best of both worlds I hope.
