I believe they'll heat it up quite hot (400°F?) while disassembled, and bolt it down to a flat plate as if it were torqued, then let it cool. I've never had it done myself. Thinking about it, I wonder if this is better or worse for the cam bearings. I think it probably does help straighten out the bearing bore. Almost surely results in less metal to remove when planing the head, which has to be a good thing.
