Good suggestions in the other posts.

A bad coolant temperature sensor can also cause rich running. When it goes bad (open circuit), the ECU thinks the temp is always -40 degrees and dumps extra fuel in.

The Bentley manual has the full diagnostic procedure for the fuel injection system. The book and a volt/ohm meter will help you find the problem.
