Mechanical fuel pump interchange 140-160 1971

I doubt that the 240 pump is the same though it may be since
they did use a carb that was used in the 140s but I'd bet good
money that it won't mount up the same way. Is it a pierberg
pump? That's the *only* pump I'd spend any money at all on.
Were I in some country where the only suppliers for something
like that were in another country, I'd find a supplier willing
to ship overseas and buy two.

I would *not* buy an electric pump unless I had a fuel injected
car. Others seem to like them but I think they're downright
dangerous, in addition to being noisy and complex.
