The car didn't die at highway speed. It was running roughly for days and threating to stall whenever it came to a stop. Then it was very sluggish in picking up speed again. Finally it just stopped at a light and wouldn't start up again. We can now get the engine to turn over but it won't keep running. When you keep your foot on the gas in just the right spot it sounds great, but the minute you take your foot off a little ....she konks.
Yes, the piece I am referring to is cylindrical in shape. We removed it completely and in doing so it was obvious that fuel was getting through this piece very well. We cleaned it anyway and put it back on.
If we don't hear the "click" in the throttle body, and it didn't die at highway speed, is that a possible cause?
I read some other posts where people talked about fuses. Are there fuses in the fuse box that I could check that might have something to do with this? And how likely is is that it is old plug wires?
