Probably not

If you are in the U.S., then I can definitely say it does not. If you aren't in the U.S., then most probably not. To my knowledge, the only 940-badged car that had IRS was the 940se sedan sold in the U.S., which was actually a 960 turbo in the rest of the world and thus had the 960 sedan's IRS. Like garlandw said, look under the car--if you see a solid rear axle (no swing arms, u-joints on the axles, etc), well, then, you've got a solid rear axle!
