It's now almost dinnertime. I verified that the fuel injection relay is getting voltage and tripping fine. Before I go further, I need a dumb-check:

To test whether the fuel pump is getting juice, could you verify what I've done? I took my VOM and put the positive lead on the pigtail coming off the wiring harness which feeds electricty to the fuel pump. I unplugged the plastic connector and connected the positive VOM lead on that female connector. I clamped the ground of the VOM to a nearby ground -- both the ground for the fuel pump and also the seatbelt anchor bolt. (Just to ensure that these sites were truly grounded, I verified continuity between the two.) So...with the VOM set for voltage and the starter cranking away, there's zero voltage being delivered to the fuel pump lead. Am I doing this correctly?

Second question, which is mentioned in my first plea back before lunchtime -- When my '83 LH 2.0 system's Hall sensor crapped out three years ago, I discovered that when the Hall sensor dies, there's no spark and no fuel. If my '89's LH 2.4 system's crank position sensor craps out, does it shut down the fuel delivery also? Though I am getting spark, so that piece is different.

I'm starting to discover why I got this low mileage, rust-free '89 so cheaply...
