Thanks for the input guys! I was suspicious that these things would work as if you observe cars in wind tunnels, the air flow separates near the back of the hood to flow over the windshield and becomes more pronounced the faster they go. Also, I've had leaves stuck in the cowl stay put and hardly move at turnpike speed which pretty much confirms your observation. I guess these things may keep leaves out of the opening but then so does our garage. Yea, I was a high schooler in 70 but I remember those backwards doors on the Chevelle's. Any way to turn that ipd one around backwards? Just a thought.
