Sanding to repaint 1800 1965

I know about the lead. Sure is tricky not screwing that stuff up while sanding, etc. It just sounds odd to me to have "factory" body filler on a car. Hey, I could use some other info. I have a B20 in my '66, have no ides what year the engine is or which B20 version it is. What's a quick way of telling? Also, what's the correct distributor for each version? Thanks in advance for your reply.
