You might want to consider replacing the tank. A few months ago my 10-year-old exp tank developed a crack in the top. I ordered a new one; when I pulled the old one, the plastic on the bottom nipple basically fell apart (photo in the FAQ), and several of the baffles on the inside had broken and were loose in the tank.

New oem tank from FCP was about $30.
