Fuel injection 1800 1973

Check resistance from the ECU connector pin #3 to ground. This should be in the ballpark of 20-25 ohms or so. Compare the reading with pins 4, 5 and 6 (the other injector signals). If one is significantly different, and if you know it's not the injector because you swapped it around, there is a problem with the harness.

If there is a descrepancy, check for corrosion or breakage where the wires solder to the big connector; the cover does come off. Of course, this checks the ground side of the injector as well, but you say you've already ohmed that one out.

If there is no discrepancy, it really is likely to be the ECU. Note that the '72-'73 ECU is different from the earlier one.
