GVWR is Gross Vehicle Weight Rating... that's the maximum your car can weigh including you, your stuff, your friends, and the car. The unloaded car should weigh around 3100- our 88 740 is right about there according to the truck scale where I work. A turbo model may come in a bit heavier, and wagons weigh only about 80 lbs more than a sedan.
