Yea... that makes sence. I do have appropriate air filters on there... the carbs came with a set of K&Ns... I'm gonna try to find some replacement elements tomorrow for 'em if I can do so locally. I know they're supposed to last forever, but the elements I have a pretty trashed, and have some burned parts on the seals...

Maybe the fella that had these carbs had 'em set up wrong for his car, and got sick of dealing with it... only for me to find out they were set up just right for my car. Stranger things have happened..
