I don't think the throttle body cleaner killed it.
I've read on a couple boards about cleaning this part with cleaner.
I took mine (1989 760 Turbo)off the engine recently and cleaned it out thoroughly with gumout. That didn't hurt it.
There is a motor inside the IAC valve. Is it running while the car is running?
Try taking it off the engine and cleaning it again maybe something broke loose and is gumming it up. Just a guess but it only takes a minute to take off.
