Serious help with starting engine needed 700

Yeah, Bram and Terry, you are confirming my feelings. The reason I did was because I was quite curious whether the engine would work after my service. When I had a mechanic do up my diesel he ran it without turbo to intercooler hose for a short while and it ran fine, if very loud, so I figured it should work. However, it did then struck me, when the engine did not start, that indeed my diesel is all mechanical and does not have an AMM nor an ECU which of course this one does, hence it will not start. I shall get these hoses and then see what happens.
