New Engine 200

Why not? Unless the remainder of your car is a total piece of crap, it would be worth it. You're not going to get anything BUT a piece of crap for $600, no matter how you cut it. I know, the legends on this board are pretty compelling ("I got a 'perfectly good' car and they PAID me to take it!!") but in reality, $600 doesn't buy much, and those "perfectly good" cars that are such screamin' deals, are usually in need of some sort of significant work. Believe me, I've worked in a Volvo shop and a dealer who deals largely in used Volvos. I've seen the tremendous "deals" that people have gotten.

At least you know what the deal with the rest of YOUR car is.

In my mind, for $600, if you get a few more months out of it, you've done well. More than that, the miles are all free ;)
