Thanks Steve.

Any chance its the clutch? If the clutch is gone and there's still refrigerant could it be that simple? I put on the a/c and the front end of the compressor did not spin nor was there a change in pitch from the compressor or the idle. I'm grabbing at straws here because I don't have the $ right now for the whole shebang, especially due to other issues such as bogging engine under load (see other post). If the r12 is still there with no leak, can say a clutch get me going again? I would imagine the compressor's worth a couple hundred at least plus,plus,plus. Thanks.
