Engine swap 200 1982

Hey Brad,

Swapping the rack is a cinch, you'll have it all done in 2-3 with minimal knuckle skinning and bruises. Just make sure you have a couple of litres of ATF on hand just in case you spill a little while switching racks.

I would honestly consider rebuilding the motor in the '82 as opposed to swapping the complete powertrain from the GT. B21A's and B21F's share the same basic blocks and heads, and that's where the similarities end. They have different pistons, cam's, fuel delivery systems and the 82 uses the M46 gearbox where the GT uses the M41(not that the gearboxes are that different, I think that the bellhousings are different - someone else may be able to enlighten further as to the differences between M46's and M41's).

BTW - How's the rest of that GT??? I would snag the extra thick sway bars and other suspension goodies it might have if I were you...
