Hard Cold Start 700 1990

My 1990 regina-system 740 used to flood on cold start and I
finally solved the problem with a new ECU (Bendix type), bought
used on Ebay. The one I got was the replacement part #, not the OE #.
The ECU supposedly can be a problem area on these cars
-- something called the EPROM inside it goes bad. I have also
seen info. that volvo dealer can reprogram it, but no experience with this.
