Hinge question 200

I would go the boneyard route. And let them pull the part, you watch. My 1986 240 hinges are like the earlier models in that they have a fitting for greasing the hinge pin. My 1988 has not no fitting. Greasing takes a special tip, not a Zerk fitting, and a lot of pressure (they are usually clogged) but the hinge is way better lubed that way.

Check with a nearby body shop for a quote on the job - you bring the hinge. Those doors are quite heavy and a PITA to adjust properly.

Good Luck,

Bob
