DOn't know if your car has an rpm sensor on top of the bellhousing in the worst damn location on the car to get to. We had an obscure driveabilty problem, underpowered, off and on miss etc etc. Checked and changed about everything as the car is approaching 200K and most everything is origional. The last thing I got to changing ( naturally) was this sensor. It as shot. Insulation split, connector corroded and the contact on the end all but gone. I have no idea how the engine would even run. The car is a new animal with this thing changed. If you have one, it's a possibility I guess. Good luck
