I really could use some help, this is a repost from7/1 700

Bunches of good advice.

While you are checking all this - you might look for carbon tracking on the back of the distributor cap - under the cover. I had this happen on my 91 940 -it died on me one day. I had it towed, and the shop put a new cap and rotor on - over 100.00. In a spot where I could not work on it.

All it needed was cleaning.
