Hi Erik,

I have an 87 740Ti that has been lowered with IPD springs, IPD 25mm sway bars front and rear and am running 225/50/16 on 5 spoke Mille Miglia wheels looks awesome and handles great, no rub. hope this helps. Wider tires aren't the only thing you need to do if you want to corner flat. I have the boost turned way up. I've also got poly bushings and k&N air filter.
