M41 wiring 140-160 1973

I used a relay on my 122 wagon and it seemed to be pretty temperamental,
in regard to system voltage in particular. I eventually chucked the relay
and hooked it up with a lighted-toggle switch and it always works. It isn't
a particularly sturdy switch so I imagine the current draw is fairly low.
(OTOH the Lucas switch that appears under the gearshift cap in later models
has the potential to be great and is like a lot of other Lucas products, in
that performance and durability don't match the projected company image.)
