My car has same problem with the drivers window.
Just in my case, the years of use and being loose, has out rounded the door frame mounting holes that the regulater (roll up thing) is bolted to.
Also the half gear that is supposed to roll up the window is bent towrds the outer door skin.
Really simple to remove, I am replacing my windows with LEXAN instead of the heavy door glass.
My problem is getting the plastic to form to the curveture of the org. glass.
